How AI Contract Analysis Works
AI contract analysis reads a document, extracts clauses, identifies risks, and explains the findings in plain English.
Step 1: Extract the document text
The system reads the PDF or document text and keeps the structure where possible: headings, sections, lists, tables, and page references.
Step 2: Look for contract-specific patterns
Instead of only summarizing, a contract analyzer searches for obligations, deadlines, money terms, renewal language, arbitration, confidentiality, assignment, and termination rights.
Step 3: Convert legal language into decisions
The useful output is not “this contract includes termination terms.” It is “you must give 60 days written notice, by certified mail, or the lease renews month-to-month at a higher rent.”
Best for

Common questions
Does AI understand legal contracts?
AI can identify and explain common legal patterns, but it should not be treated as a lawyer or final legal authority.
Why use a specialized contract analyzer instead of a chatbot?
A specialized analyzer is designed to extract fees, deadlines, clauses, and section references instead of giving a broad generic summary.
